From last night’s “You Don’t Know Stitt”, Julia Murney sings a fully NSFW, funny, ukelele-based, Georgia Stitt composition about a woman confronting the other woman who is f!(&ing her husband. (Reblog. via blues2broadway)

What makes someone a best friend?
Over the years, I’ve gone back and forth with that term and I mostly hate it because I’ve been so hurt in the past. But you know what? That’s life. And I’ve learned who my real friends are. So I’m going to say, the friends that show up. The friends that you can count on. The ones that make time for you no matter how busy they are. The ones you can trust with your deepest secrets that make you feel ugly on the inside. The ones you can cry with and they’ll hold you close without judgment. The ones you who you can laugh with until your stomach hurts. The ones that know everything about you, all the good and the bad things you’ve done and they love you anyway. The ones who share their humanity and inspire you to become the best person you can be. The ones who you want to make proud when you wake up every morning. The ones that know that friendship is a two way street. I have four of those people in my life: Jamie, Janice, Kyla and Jillian. I also have my “friend soulmate”, Heather. These people are all of those things for me, and I spend my life trying to be that in return for them. Someone once told me they love being an outsider to my friendships and watching all of us grow as a family because we seem like a group of friends from a movie. And it’s true, we kind of are. Knowing the people that I know saved me on every level possible, literally.
What holiday do you most look forward to?
Thanksgiving. Seeing people count their blessings makes me feel all warm and happy inside. Halloween if I’m going to Disneyland. I’d say Christmas too, but I try to live everyday like it’s Christmas.
Name a song that never fails to make you happy.
Sugarland - “Stuck Like Glue” I even made up a dance for it. You should have seen me when they did this in concert. My friends were cracking up.
Do you enjoy being with only one or two friends, or with a large group of people?
I LOVE when all my friends get together, nothing makes me happier. However, I am an introvert to the extreme. I am very much a one-on-one type girl. I thrive to give each person all the attention and time they deserve. I am all about connection with people. I want to make everyone I encounter feel important, because you all are.
What is one thing you could never forgive?
I know it’s unhealthy, but I still haven’t forgiven my mother for physically and emotionally abusing me. She stole my childhood and most of my adulthood (so far) from me. As far as I’m concerned, my family was conceived six years ago and that’s when my life began.
Are there any childhood possessions you still hold on to?
I was born 10 weeks early and was so small I couldn’t wear newborn clothes. So I wore clothes off of a stuffed Snoopy. My grandma still has the Snoopy. She also has my first Cabbage Patch Kid.
What song best describes your life right now?
Jason Robert Brown - “If I Didn’t Believe in You”, Sugarland - “Shine The Light” and Kristin Chenoweth - “Love Somebody Now” I am in a deep, deep depression right now and constantly falling apart. I just have to get though the next two weeks and things will get better. June has been unbearable.
Holy novel, Batman! Sorry, lol. But than you for asking all of these!
